Product description
We offer pedestals in various sizes made of Corten steel (2 mm) and aluminum (3 mm). The plinths can bear the weight
decorations or other items up to 150 kg. At Corten Stal, we also offer our plinths as a U-block. The U-block can be used as a timber storage. Our pedestals allow you to beautifully display your various items. Corten Stal is a strong type of steel that has a characteristic feature:
after weathering, a top layer of rust forms on the outside, which then protects the steel underneath from further corrosion.
Specifications
• Products must be unpacked immediately after delivery.
• Corten steel should never be permanently wet, should drain well and ventilate in all situations.
• We only use Corten steel type S355JOWP.
• Coastal areas: We do not recommend the use of Corten steel within 2 km of the coastline.
• Rust residue may peel off during the product's airing process.
• Drilling / grinding in the material is prohibited.
• All types of (hard) wood will turn gray when exposed to UV light, weather and wind.
• Wood is a natural product that "works" and contracts or expands depending on temperature and humidity. Regularly
oiling the wood makes the humidity more stable and the "work" remains limited.
• Like almost all types of wood, hardwood reacts to contact with iron, which can cause severe discoloration (can be visually
to be confused with mould): use only stainless steel screws.
Maintenance
• Annual cleaning by removing dirt with clean tap water.
• Clean aluminum with our Cleaner.
Note! Do not use a high-pressure cleaner or abrasive sponge.
Placement
1. Provide a flat, firm base. If this is not done carefully, stresses are created in the product that can
cause damage to the product.
2. Reinforcements in plinths are necessary for the construction and stability of the supports. You should never make changes here.
3. Always provide sufficient breathing space (at least
1 cm) around products to prevent moisture entrapment -
clearance.
